Summary of the license you accept when buying a cover. The full agreement is sent with your files.
Copyright
- The artist retains full copyright of the artwork. Buying a cover grants you a license to use it; it does not transfer the copyright.
- The artist may show the design in her portfolio and social media.
What you can do
- Use the cover for one title — ebook and print, any edition, unlimited copies — with no royalties.
- Use the included banners, mockups and ads to promote that title.
- Premade covers are sold only once: after your purchase the design is removed from the store.
What you can't do
- Resell, share or give away the artwork as is, or use it as a template.
- Use it for a different title than the one licensed.
- Use it on merchandise unless you purchased the merchandising add-on ($60).
- Modify the artwork or have third parties modify it — changes are made by the artist.
Payment & refunds
- Payment is 100% upfront. Unpaid reservations expire and the cover returns to the store.
- Because each cover is a one-of-a-kind digital artwork, purchases are non-refundable.
- Generic changes (title, author, series name) are free; changing a major element costs $10 per element.
